Insula Produksjon´s factory in Lofoten has been awarded the Ministry of Education's Diversity Award 2019 in the class of medium /large companies in the northern region of Norway.
The Diversity Award is the Norwegian authority´s award for outstanding use of immigrants' competence at work.
The purpose of the award is to promote ethnic diversity, improved use of immigrants' skills and to increase the recruitment of immigrants. Highlighting examples of successful ethnic diversity in the workplace will inspire others. The prize is awarded by the Ministry of Education and Research.
- We highly appreciate being noticed for our investments and efforts in the integration of foreign workers. We have 19 nationalities from all corners of the world in the workforce. Integration is therefore very important, and we believe one of the key success factors is that we have insisted on Norwegian being the working language, says Rune Barosen Nilssen, Plant manager at Insula Produksjon.
