Lofotprodukt AS sells processed seafood, mainly minced fish meat products and smoked salmon and trout products under the brands "Lofoten" and "Madam Bergen". Our market is grocery and catering in Norway. The company was established in 1994 and is currently the market leader in its categories in the Norwegian grocery segment.

Active focus on quality, design, product development and sales initiatives with in-store product demonstrations have been central to our growth. The goal is to be the leader in the seafood category. We want to offer consumer product concepts and packaging solutions adapted to ever-changing needs.

In 2003, we implemented a comprehensive design program in which the brand "Lofot Delicatessen" was changed to "Lofoten". The purpose was to capitalize on the positive values ​​associated with fish and fish processing that lie in the term “Lofoten”, as well as to clarify the quality and breadth of our product range. In the fall of 2009, Lofotprodukt received the prestigious Design Effect Grand Prix award as a result of this work.

In 2013, Lofotprodukt was named Food and Drink Producer of the Year by the NHO, the Seafood Company of the Year by Intrafish og Fiskeribladet Fiskaren, and the Gluten Free Company of the Year by the Norwegian Celiac Association. In 2014, the company won the advertising awards Silverfish, Goldfish and the year's Insight Award for the "Hold the Cod" advertising campaign.

The Insula Group was established on the basis of Lofotprodukt AS in June 2015.
